Taxi’s can be hired outside most large hotels. A standard trip in the daytime should be around $2-$4 and $3-$4 in the evening. The cost for a whole day is in the region of $20-$30 per day. Your best bet for day rate is Som (new 4wd $35) 012 981 455 or short trips is Sok Chealy (012 876 091) or Bailey’s (012 890 000), which have aircon and 24 hour service cars.

Moto’s
The price of the journey varies from 500 to 2,000 riel during the day (dependent on the length of journey). Add 500 to 1,000 riel at night. It is normally around $5 to hire a moto driver for a whole day (including the waiting time periods).

Hiring Motorbikes
Best place to hire a bike is New! New! on Monivong opposite Street 184. Small moto’s are $3-$4 per day while larger dirk bikes are $6-$8 per day.
