Scuba Diving, Island Tours & Other Trips
There are several dive companies around Sihanoukville. However, Scuba Nation is the main PADI dive centre that can offer courses at every level. Night dives and snorkeling are also available. Boat trips to the islands can be arranged at many guesthouses and hotels. If you’re interested in a fishing trip, contact Fishermans Den (tel: 034-933659). Enquire at your guesthouse/hotel if you’re interested in canoeing, camping, mountain tours, and trips to Kep, Kampot and Bokor Hill Station.

There are also a few clinics along Ekareach Street but be warned that medical services in Sihanoukville are poor. If something serious happen to you, head to
Phnom Penh or, better still, struggle onto a plane to Bangkok.

Communication, Media, Money & Medical Services
There are a few banks in Sihanoukville and most accept credit card cash advances. Acleda Bankon, Canadia Bank, Mekong Bank and Union Commercial Bank are all on Ekareach Street. Most are shut by 4PM.

When it comes to shopping, Sihanoukville is nothing special. There are a few convenience stores and traditional markets located around town. Phsar Leu (Upper Market) on 7 Makara near Omui is the main market to head towards during the day and there is a night market along Ekareach Street, which stays open until the wee hours.
Casablanca is a good place to try for used books and is located next to Mick and Craigs just off the Golden lions roundabout. Open 7AM till late.
The Bayon Pearnik is an independent magazine dedicated to raising beer money as well as encouraging debate over standards of taste, humor and journalistic ethics. Published every month or so in Phnom Penh. Not to be taken seriously or while driving or operating heavy machinery.
